Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in laboratory science or medical lab tech required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Knowledge of biology, chemistry, histology, immunology, and mathematics.
• 1 year of clinical histology/grossing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and grossly inspects specimen for histopathology.
• Records gross examination findings and specimen counts.
• Navigates LIS and documents cases.
• Ensures proper labeling and specimen integrity.
• Follows CLIA, OSHA and safety requirements.
