Job summary

Responsibilities include completing a documented CLIA training program, performing gross dissections, dictations, photography of specimens, and preparing tissues for further testing, while adhering to safety, QA standards, and corporate privacy and security policies.

Qualifications

• Must complete a documented CLIA training program.
• Familiar with CLIA standards for high complexity testing.

Responsibilities

• Accession and prepare tissue specimens for gross examination.
• Perform gross dissections of high complexity and smaller cases.
• Perform gross dictations per department protocol.
• Hang tissue on processors and photograph specimens.
• Prepare tissue for further testing (e.g., Lymphoma Phenotyping, Iron studies).
• Maintain inventory, cleanup, and proper disposal of hazardous waste.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with QA standards and Corporate policies.
