Sagis Diagnostics in Houston, TX is seeking a Full-Time Cytology Prep Technician to support overnight operations. Shift: Tuesday through Saturday, 12:30 am to 8:30 am. You will accession and process non-gynecologic specimens and input patient data into the LIS.

The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work independently while collaborating with the cytology team. Bachelor’s degree or clinical lab certificate is required; experience with ThinPrep is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life science or a clinical lab certificate program (CT, MLT, HT or related).
• Minimum 1 year in a clinical or anatomical pathology lab; cytology or histology experience preferred.
• Familiarity with ThinPrep preparation and LIS systems; excellent data entry and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Accession and process non-gynecologic specimens.
• Accurately input patient and test information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory instruments; perform routine maintenance.
• Maintain accuracy of specimen identification and integrity; follow SOPs.

Sagis Diagnostics is an entirely physician-led sub-specialty pathology group supported by a CAP-accredited histology lab located in the heart of Houston, Texas.
