Performance Food Group is seeking a Hispanic Food Specialist to drive sales growth in the Fairfield, OH region. This role focuses on developing relationships with customers, identifying opportunities, and applying product knowledge of Hispanic cuisine.

The position requires English and Spanish proficiency, 2 years in foodservice, and a strong consultative selling approach to expand market share and profitability.

Qualifications

Position Details

• The Hispanic Food Specialist drives sales growth and expands market share within the Hispanic food segment. Responsible for developing strong relationships with customers, identifying business opportunities, and providing product expertise.
• Bilingual in English & Spanish is required.
• 2 years of related work experience within foodservice industry (restaurant work, chef, sous chef, food brand ambassador, food distribution inside sales, or food distribution customer service)
• This role serves as a subject matter expert on Hispanic cuisine. Knowledge and experience with Latin / Hispanic foods is strongly preferred.
• Uses consultative selling, business development, and customer service skills.

Position Summary:

Responsible for sales and profitability growth of the Hispanic food segment in the Fairfield, OH geography. May include, but not limited to: order taking, order processing, order guide maintenance, pricing maintenance within guidelines set by the sales manager, accounts receivable monitoring of assigned accounts. Works to develop strong relationships with customers, identifies business opportunities, and provides product expertise. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

• Profitable growth of assigned customers in terms of increasing line item penetration, gross profit dollars per drop increases and overall increase in customer base.
• Responsible for account penetration and product presentations to customers.
• Responsible to partner with restaurant operators, distributors, and internal sales teams to promote Hispanic food products.
• Will assist sales representatives to bring in new business.
• Presentation of ongoing promotions to accounts.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

1-2 years Sales / Marketing or related area

Valid Drivers License

Bilingual in English & Spanish

Preferred qualifications:

Associates or 2-year technical degree in Sales, Marketing, Culinary Arts, or related area

2 years of related work experience within foodservice industry (restaurant work, chef, sous chef, food brand ambassador, food distribution inside sales, or food distribution customer service)

Knowledge and experience with Hispanic food / Latin cuisine

Understanding of sales performance metrics and reports

Strong communication and negotiation skills
