Job summary

St. Edward Parish in Seattle seeks a Hispanic Ministry & Parish Office Coordinator to serve as a pastoral presence for Spanish-speaking parishioners, linking them with priests, ministries, and parish resources.

The role emphasizes front-office support, translation, sacramental assistance, and translations to help parishioners access services. The position requires weekly on-site presence and collaboration with the Hispanic Ministry Committee.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English, able to communicate across cultures.
• Practicing Catholic who supports the mission of the Church.
• Experience in parish ministry, community service, customer service, or office administration.
• Strong interpersonal, listening, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive parishioner information.
• Ability to work on campus Wednesday through Sunday and be present during key Spanish-language parish activities and Masses.
• Familiarity with parish databases and Church Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming point of contact for Spanish-speaking parishioners and families.
• Build relationships and help parishioners feel connected to the parish community.
• Translate or interpret routine parish communications and assist with outreach.
• Support sacramental processes and registrations with the Pastoral Team.
• Maintain parishioner records in the Church Management System and protect confidentiality.
• Assist with communications, minutes, calendars, and tasks for Spanish activities and Masses.
• Support stewardship campaigns in the Spanish-speaking communities.
