Job summary

NC Community Colleges seeks a Testing Coordinator to administer secure, accessible testing services. The role supports HiSET and other assessments, proctoring, and scheduling within a College Testing Center.

The position requires coordinating with Accessibility Services and faculty to ensure accommodations and test integrity, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with FERPA and vendor requirements.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain all certifications/training required to administer HiSET and other assigned examinations.
• Strong technology skills and ability to learn and use student information systems, testing platforms, scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound independent judgment, and consistently follow standardized testing and security procedures.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population, including adult learners and students receiving approved accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer secure, accessible testing services for the College.
• Proctor HiSET, placement testing, CPT, accommodated testing, and other exams.
• Maintain HiSET examiner credentials and complete required trainings.
• Coordinate testing at off-site facilities including correctional settings.
• Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends; travel to off-site locations as needed.
• Collaborate with Accessibility Services and faculty to administer approved accommodations.
