Responsibilities

  • Lead data center operations to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of infrastructure.
  • Implement server, storage, networking, and lifecycle management for data center needs.
  • Determine capacity and health through monitoring, analysis, and collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Maintain physical and virtual infrastructure and respond to incidents and service requests.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as needed.

The Impact You'll Make in this Role
  • Leads data center operational activities to ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of infrastructure supporting software development, testing, ERP systems, performance engineering labs, and critical business applications. Coordinates maintenance activities, infrastructure upgrades, and incident response efforts while following established operational standards and procedures.
  • Implements server, storage, networking, and data center infrastructure solutions, including racking and stacking equipment, cable management, hardware installation, operating system deployment, firmware upgrades, preventive maintenance, and lifecycle management activities to support business and development needs.
  • Determines infrastructure capacity, operational requirements, and system health through proactive monitoring, performance analysis, troubleshooting, and collaboration with engineering teams. Identifies risks, recommends improvements, and supports capacity planning to maintain service levels and business continuity.
  • Supports data center operations by maintaining physical and virtual infrastructure, responding to incidents and service requests, performing hardware replacements, coordinating vendor support activities, documenting procedures, and ensuring high availability for development, testing, quality assurance, and production-related environments.
  • Demonstrates willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed to maintain critical infrastructure availability, support maintenance windows, respond to incidents, and minimize business disruption.
Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND (5) years of IT Experience
  • OR
  • High School Diploma/GED from AND (9) years of IT Experience

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • 2 years of data center experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • IT Certifications/ Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA.

Work location: Choose

Hybrid Eligible - Murray, UT- as needed

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: Not authorized
