Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking an experienced Emergency RN to provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Care Center. Compensation includes an hourly rate determined by experience and education, with an additional certification pay of $1.50 per hour.

Minimum 1 year of emergency RN experience is preferred. Shift: FT, with Mids/Nights available, 36 hours per week. Required licenses include ACLS, BLS, and FL RN.

Qualifications

• RN graduate from an accredited school of nursing; BSN within timeframe per policy.
• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Certifications required within orientation or within one year of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients and families in the Emergency Care Center.
• Follow SMHCS nursing practice model and ANA Standards of Professional Practice.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in orientation and ongoing education.

Job Summary

Provides professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA's Standards of Professional Practice.

Salary Details:

Hourly rate is determined by years of worked experience as an RN, education level, and internal equity within organization. Minimum rate starting at $33.50, max of salary range is $51.60. In addition to hourly rate, if candidate holds an approved certification position qualifies for certification pay of $1.50.

-Prefer 1 year of emergency RN experience

*This is for experienced nurses, no new grads*

Shift: FT, Mids/Nights available, 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).


• - Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.


• - Require the follow certifications upon completion of department orientation: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) National Institute of Health (NIH) Stroke PSA/ACE (during orientation) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Crisis Intervention - Require the following courses/certifications within one (1) year of completing department orientation: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) Note: All certifications must be maintained thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

• - Prefer certification in nursing specialty area.


• - Prefer a minimum of one (1) year of emergency RN experience.
