Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Customer Service Representative at our North Bergen location. You will assist customers with products and services, manage rentals using U-Scan technology, and help move and hook up trucks and trailers.

The role includes equipment inspection, invoicing, and ongoing training through U-Haul University. The position offers on-the-job education, with a compensation range of $15.92 to $17.00 per hour and eligibility for the listed benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers inside and outside the U-Haul center with products and services.
• Use smartphone-based U-Scan to manage rentals and inventory.
• Move and hook up U-Haul trucks and trailers.
• Inspect and clean equipment on the lot.
• Answer questions and educate customers on offerings.
• Prepare rental invoices and process returns.
• Install hitches and trailer wiring.
• Fill propane and forklift operations (certifications offered).
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
