Sierra Basin Post Acute Carson SNF Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to maintain resident medical records and health information systems in compliance with federal and state guidelines and facility privacy policies.

The role involves organizing the medical records department, indexing charts, transcribing physician reports, and handling record inquiries while ensuring proper storage and security of information.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
• Typing a minimum of 45 words per minute.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, coding and indexing, preferred.
• On-the-job training provided in medical record procedures.
• Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology.
• Be knowledgeable in computers, data retrieval, input and output functions.

Responsabilités

• Maintain resident medical records and health information systems in accordance with federal/state guidelines and facility privacy policies.
• Receive and follow work schedules and policies.
• Organize and direct the medical records department.
• Maintain minutes of meetings and file as necessary.
• Index and file medical records and resident charts.
• Transcribe and type physician reports as needed.
• Answer inquiries concerning medical records and retrieve records on request.
• Ensure records are properly stored and do not leave the medical records room without authorization.
