Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associates degree preferred.
• Two+ years in mental health/chemical dependency field preferred.
• RHIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and authorizes PHI releases to ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Communicates with patients, payers, attorneys, and other parties to fulfill requests.
• Prepares records for audits and investigations; conducts data extraction for analysis.
• Maintains accurate records, retrieves records from storage, and documents access denials.
• Generates required statistical reports for management and Performance Improvement.
• Documents information in MS Excel, Word, and PDF formats.
