Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Health Information Release of Information professional to support the system-wide records request process while protecting patient privacy. You will handle requests from former patients, physicians, hospital staff, and other requestors with care and accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in release of records and/or acute care setting for a large healthcare organization required.
• Associate’s degree in health information management preferred.
• RHIT/RHIA or Health Services Administration certificates preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical chart format and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Release of medical information for requests from patients, physicians, staff and others while protecting patient privacy.
• Respond to requests and ensure accurate, complete disclosures per policy and law.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA, state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with team to meet release of information goals and support court/deposition needs.
