Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-oriented Release of Information Clerk in Bethlehem, PA. You will process requests, maintain records systems, and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure timely, compliant handling of confidential information.

Ideal candidates have RHIT or AHIMA credentials and 1+ year in confidentiality/release of information, with strong data entry and HIPAA knowledge. On-site role with standard office duties and legal disclosures support

Qualifications

AHIMA approved Accredited Record Technician or RHIT preferred.

Responsibilities

Process all release of information requests for Medical Records.
Coordinate requests from Finance and other hospital departments.
Process release of Radiology film and reports for Allentown and Bethlehem campuses.
Maintain the computerized release of information system and log all activities.
Act as hospital custodian of medical records for depositions, court proceedings, and legal matters.
Log requests upon receipt for processing.
Maintain the computerized correspondence tracking system and ensure all requests are logged.
Respond to telephone requests from patient care units and other department customers.
