Job summary

Trinity Health at St. Mary’s Hospital seeks a Health Information Management Tech to support accurate EHR documentation and data integrity. The role involves auditing records, ensuring timeliness, and collaborating with care teams.

You will review records, monitor metadata for privacy, and assist with sample-based audits while maintaining strong knowledge of medical records and data analysis principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and experience in Medical Office, Medical Records or other applicable health care experience.
• Strong knowledge of Medical Record concepts including record completion requirements, chart tracking, and release of information procedures.
• Knowledge of data analysis concepts.
• Experience with Computer skills to include Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

As a “Health Information Management Tech” you will:

• In collaboration with others, monitors and audits EHR documentation.
• Reviews records as scheduled or on ad hoc basis to establish completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of documentation
• As directed, performs audit of metadata to detect potential privacy breeches related to EHR access
• Selects appropriate or defined sample size to support audit validity
• In collaboration with others, monitors and reviews MPI duplicate reports to ensure timely processing and correction

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and experience in Medical Office, Medical Records or other applicable health care experience.
