Job summary

Kids for the Future seeks an HIM Supervisor to oversee the EHR system (Credible) and data reporting, guiding the EHR Manager, EHR & Data Coordinator, and Data & Operational Systems Analyst. You will lead Credible projects, ensure QA, and align workflows with agency priorities in collaboration with clinical and administrative leadership.

You will supervise, coach staff, manage training, and maintain data integrity while supporting reporting needs for KPIs and executive leadership.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in health information management, healthcare administration, business administration, social work, psychology, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in information and database management and/or EHR administration in a healthcare setting is required.
• 1+ year of supervisory, team lead, or project lead experience is required.
• Experience with quality assurance and clinical documentation compliance is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, SharePoint, Forms, Lists, Power Automate, etc. is required.
• Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools (Credible BI, Power BI, Microsoft Access, SQL, Excel, etc.) is required.
• 5+ years of experience in information and database management and/or EHR administration in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
• Experience acting as project lead for a system implementation or EHR enhancement is strongly preferred.
• Experience in a children’s mental health or behavioral health setting strongly preferred.
• Valid MN licensure as a mental health professional or RHIA or RHIT certification is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach, and develop staff.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the EHR Manager and supervise the EHR & Data Coordinator with coaching and performance reviews.
• Supervise the Data & Operational Systems Analyst and support dotted-line reporting.
• Lead Credible projects and enhancements and coordinate Credible/Qualifacts meetings.
• Produce and distribute reports, collaborate with clinical leaders to optimize KPI reporting.
• Partner with HIM team to test processes and close workflow gaps.
