Job summary

You will identify deficiencies, communicate with HIM teams, and help ensure compliance and data quality. Qualifications include an associate degree in HIM or equivalent with hospital office experience; proficiency in MS Office; Epic EMR preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in HIM or equivalent with hospital office experience.
• Broad knowledge of medical terminology, record management, data integrity, and HIM software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Epic EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates discharge records for inclusion, accuracy, and completeness per Joint Commission/state/federal requirements.
• Assigns chart deficiencies per CCMC Medical Staff Rules and Regulations.
• Communicates with HIM Records Management, Transcription and Quality staff to report missing/incorrect documentation.
