Responsibilities

• Reviews medical record documentation in EMR or paper records and creates charting deficiencies in the deficiency management system.
• Works in EMR system to support record completion, coding, release of information and management of the legal health record.
• Responds to requests for medical record information via phone, e-mail, fax, or in person.
• Identifies duplicate medical record numbers to safeguard Master Patient Index integrity.
• Manages various analysis work queues to ensure timely chart completion.
• Navigates basic computer software and multitasks in a fast-paced health care environment.
• Follows company standards and workflow guidelines to assign accounts to work queues.
• Identifies documents needing re-scanning due to poor image quality.
