HIM Outpatient Coding Supervisor page is loaded## HIM Outpatient Coding Supervisorlocations: US - Remote (Any location)time type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: 45104**Job Family:**General Coding**Travel Required:**None**Clearance Required:**None**What You Will Do:*** Assists coders, compliant documentation management staff, and the Internal Revenue Integrity team with complex patient care cases by analyzing documentation and discussing correct code assignment.* Reviews medical records flagged through the SMART (Inpatient and Outpatient tools) software for patterns of coding errors and opportunities for coder and /or clinical education.* Serves as a technical expert/resource for department manager, staff, physicians, administrative, and external customers to provide information or clarification accurate and ethical coding and documentation standards, guidelines and regulatory requirements.* Performs other duties as assigned by management.**What You Will Need:*** Requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience; (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree).* Currently certified as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC).* A strong outpatient coding background at a senior level including coding of outpatient/inpatient charts, E/M charging, injection and infusions charging, as well as data management and coder audit and education experience.* Must maintain credential throughout employment.* A minimum of two years of people leadership experience is required**What Would Be Nice to Have:*** Experience working in any of the following systems: EPIC, Cerner, Solventum, and PwC SMART.* Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology#LI-DNIThe annual salary range for this position is $68,000.00-$113,000.00.
