Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals seeks a Manager of HIM Operations to oversee imaging, MPI, dictation, transcription, and controlled release of medical information across multiple systems. This hybrid remote role covers coverage needs across HIM departments within the system.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Health Information Management with 2+ years in management, and is preferably RHIA-certified. Collaboration with contract copy services and EHR governance will be essential to ensure timely,

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management is required.
• Licensure or certification is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management is preferred.
• RHIA licensure preferred for the role.
• Minimum 5 years in Health Information Management with at least 2 years in a management role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee document imaging, enterprise MPI, dictation and transcription.
• Control and release of medical information in both paper and electronic formats across systems.
• Liaise with contract copy service and support timely, accurate EHR documentation and staff privileges governance.

Education

Associate's Degree Health Information Management

Bachelor's Degree Health Information Management

Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred
