Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare seeks an HIM Operations Coordinator to join the HIM Operations team. This full-time role will primarily work hybrid (Days and on call occasionally).

The position provides coordination, analysis, and administrative support to ensure regulatory compliance, with independent judgment and cross-functional collaboration. Strong communication, multi-tasking, and Epic software familiarity are desired.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Business, Management, or Health Information Management/Technology.
• 3–5 years coordinating departmental projects and staff oversight.
• RHIT/RHIA preferred; Epic software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily HIM Operations tasks and ensure adequate coverage.
• Develop workflows with managers to ensure timely completion of work.
• Monitor workflows and suggest system improvements.
• Verify scanning/indexing quality of documents.
• Prepare correspondence, agendas, minutes, and departmental publications.
• Provide orientation and mentoring to HIM Operations staff.
