Job summary

Canyon Ridge Hospital in California is seeking a Medical Records Tech to support the Health Information Management Department with clerical and technical tasks.

Shift schedule will be Monday to Wednesday 7:30am-4:00pm; Thursday and Friday off; Saturday and Sunday 6am-2:30pm. This role offers competitive compensation and benefits, including medical/dental/vision, a 401k plan, PTO, and growth opportunities within UHS.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in health information management is required.
• Transcription, filing, and record-keeping skills.

Canyon Ridge Hospital has serviced the Greater Inland Empire since 1989. Canyon Ridge is a 157-bed acute, locked psychiatric facility offering services to adolescents ages 13-17, adults and older adults.

We believe in an individualized, patient-focused approach to diagnosis and treatment. For some, anxiety or drug dependence looks different from others with the same diagnoses, and in some cases, behavioral health and substance use disorders occur simultaneously. In these cases of dual diagnosis, we treat the patients in the best way possible given their specific needs.

POSITION SUMMARY

Supports the Health Information Management Department through variety of clerical, technical, and related support services.

Schedule will be

Monday to Wednesday 7:30am-4:00pm

Thursday and Friday-OFF

Saturday and Sunday: 6am-2:30pm

Qualifications

• Previous Health Information Management or related experience required
• Transcription, filing and record-keeping skills;
• Work organization, prioritization, and time management skills
• Familiar with general medical terminology needed with specific familiarity with psychiatric terminology helpful
• Experience with ICD- 10-CM procedures and use of DSM IV coding procedures highly desirable; general clerical and office procedure skills
