Job summary

Savista is seeking a Lead HIM Technician to support the day-to-day operations of its Health Information Management department. You will supervise workflows, ensure accurate chart processing, and serve as a resource for the team to drive quality and confidentiality in every step.

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll train staff, monitor productivity, and partner with management to identify opportunities for process improvements while upholding HIPAA regulations and patient privacy.

Qualifications

• Experience in Health Information Management or medical records.
• Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong confidentiality and HIPAA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily HIM operations: monitor workflow, chart requests, filing and purging.
• Prioritize and adjust work assignments to meet timeframes.
• Monitor workloads and communicate backlogs to management.
• Serve as first point of contact for daily workflows and procedures.
• Assist with staffing coverage during illness, vacancies or absences.
• Locate missing charts and resolve workflow issues.
• Support special projects and initiatives from HIM leadership.
