The HIM Director at Allenhealth will oversee all aspects of health information management, ensuring the accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance of our healthcare data. You will lead a team of HIM professionals, shape policies, and drive initiatives to improve data integrity and privacy.

Responsibilities include developing and enforcing HIPAA-compliant procedures, managing EMR access, coordinating with IT and clinical services, and guiding quality improvement through regular meetings.

Responsabilidades

• Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the HIM department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Policy Development: Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures related to health information management, including data privacy, security, and compliance.
• Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of HIM professionals, including medical coders, health information technicians, and release of information (ROI) clerks.
• Data Integrity: Oversee the maintenance of accurate and complete electronic health records (EHRs), ensuring data integrity and quality. This will include the granting of access for all employees through the Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, HITECH, and other state and federal laws governing health information management. Runs Compliance meeting quarterly to ensure regulations are being followed.
• Quality Improvement: Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of health information management processes. Attends monthly Quality Improvement, core measures, and med staff meetings.
• Technology Management: Evaluate, implement, and maintain health information management systems and technology solutions to support departmental operations.
• Training and Education: Provide ongoing training and education to staff members on best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in health information management.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including IT and clinical services, to optimize health information management processes and workflows.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to health information management, including data breaches, security incidents, and compliance violations.

Salary Range: $77,958.40 To $103,958.40 Annually
