Job summary

The Coding Coordinator at Baylor Scott & White Health monitors operations, workflow, and services by third‑party suppliers for HIM Coding. You will collaborate with the Coding Manager and physicians to ensure timely, complete documentation.

You will review KPIs, stay current with coding guidelines, and assist in developing procedures. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to support accurate coding and patient records.

Qualifications

• Expertise in ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT procedural coding.
• Strong critical thinking to apply guidelines to documentation.
• Excellent communication to share findings with teams.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a liaison between Baylor Scott and White Healthcare, providers and third-party suppliers; resolves issues and improves processes.
• Monitor key performance indicators and supplier compliance; identify cost-saving measures.
• Educates physicians and clinicians on coding guidelines and documentation improvement.
• Assist in policy and procedure development for coding operations.
• Review and stay current with new regulations and coding guidelines.
