Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in health information management, Health Services Administration, or related field preferred.
• RHIT and/or RHIA certification preferred.
• Experience in medical records in an acute care setting.
• Knowledge of CMS and TJC accreditation standards.
• Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to travel between hospitals.
• Typing 25 wpm; proficient in Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support Health System with 8 Acute Care Hospitals and 50+ outpatient locations.
• Track and trend Physician Delinquency Reports; notify Medical Staff of pending delinquent records and impending actions.
• Follow up and report non-compliant physicians to Hospital and Medical Staff Leadership to enforce the Suspension List.
• Prepare reports and graphs for Medical Record Committee meetings and the Joint Commission.
• Work as part of a team to meet departmental goals.
