Job summary

Exalt Health Rehabilitation Hospital Sarasota, LLC in Florida seeks a Health Information Management Coordinator to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of patient health information and to support the EMR system and HIM compliance.

Collaborate with coding staff on accurate coding and billing, analyze data, and prepare reports for regulatory bodies while delivering excellent service to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• RHIT certification is required; CCS or CPC is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably inpatient rehabilitation.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Health Information Management: Maintain accurate patient health records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coding and Billing: Collaborate with coding staff for accurate diagnoses and procedures, assist billing as needed.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Generate reports on HIM metrics and prepare data for agencies and accreditation bodies.
• Customer Service: Support credentialing workflows and provide service to internal/external stakeholders.
