Job summary

Dawson and Dawson in Hilton Head Island is seeking an Overnight Care Professional to provide attentive, non-medical care to elderly and disabled clients in their homes during nighttime hours.

You will ensure safety, comfort, and well-being through the night, assist with ADLs, and support families with compassionate, reliable care. Prior CNA experience preferred, with state guidelines observed. Join a dedicated 24-hour care team.

Qualifications

• Must live in or near Hilton Head Island.
• Night shift availability and reliability required.
• CNA or caregiving experience preferred.
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and responsive during nighttime hours and emergencies.
• Ability to document overnight observations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive overnight care including grooming, dressing, bathing, and ADLs.
• Monitor safety, comfort, and wellbeing throughout the night.
• Assist with light household tasks to maintain a safe overnight environment.
• Deliver compassionate care for clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, or disabilities.
• Give medication reminders per each client's nighttime schedule.
• Document all overnight care services and any incidents.
• Report concerns or changes in condition to the office.
• Respond effectively in emergencies.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and complete training modules.

Hilton Head Island Overnight Care Professional

Are you a night owl with a heart for service? Join our team as a Overnight Care Professional providing attentive, non-medical care to elderly and disabled individuals in the comfort of their own homes — while the rest of the world sleeps.

At Dawson and Dawson, our overnight caregivers are the backbone of our 24-hour care model. You'll bring peace of mind to families knowing their loved ones are safe, comfortable, and well-cared for through every hour of the night.

Available Overnight Shifts:

• Day Shift
• 7PM – 7AM
• 8PM – 8AM
• 11PM – 7/ 8AM

Shift differentials offered on a case-by-case basis. Base rate determined by experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide attentive overnight care and support, including assistance with grooming, dressing, bathing, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Monitor client safety, comfort, and well being throughout the night, responding promptly to any needs that arise
• Assist with light household tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable overnight environment
• Deliver compassionate, specialized care for clients living with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, or physical disabilities
• Issue medication reminders in accordance with each client's prescribed nighttime schedule
• Accurately document all overnight care services, including care notes, ADLs, and any incident or change-of-condition reports
• Promptly report any client concerns or changes in their condition to the office.
• Respond swiftly and effectively in case of emergency situations.
• Attend monthly staff meetings to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Complete required in-service training and ongoing education modules to meet state-mandated guidelines

What We’re Looking For:

• INDIVIDUAL MUST LIVE IN OR NEAR HILTON HEAD ISLAND
• Genuine availability and reliability for shifts — this role requires you to be alert and engaged throughout the entire shift
• CNA or previous care giving experience preferred
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and responsive during nighttime hours and in emergency situations
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing excellent care
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to document and report overnight observations clearly
• Individual must be 100% Reliable and punctual.
• Desire to grow and advance within an agency.
