Job summary

Dawson and Dawson Home Care, LLC in Hilton Head Island seeks an Overnight Care Professional to provide attentive, non-medical care for elderly and disabled clients in their own homes while others sleep.

You will monitor safety through the night, assist with ADLs, document care, remind about medications, and participate in ongoing training within a 24-hour care model to bring peace of mind to families.

Qualifications

• Must live in or near Hilton Head Island.
• Reliability and availability for night shifts; stay alert throughout shift.
• CNA or prior caregiving experience preferred.
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and responsive during night hours and emergencies.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to excellent care.
• Strong communication and documentation of overnight observations.
• Must be 100% reliable and punctual.
• Desire to grow within the agency.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive overnight care and support, including grooming, dressing, bathing, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Monitor client safety, comfort, and well being throughout the night, responding promptly to any needs that arise.
• Assist with light household tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable overnight environment.
• Deliver compassionate, specialized care for clients living with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, or physical disabilities.
• Issue medication reminders in accordance with each client's prescribed nighttime schedule.
• Accurately document all overnight care services, including care notes, ADLs, and any incident or change-of-condition reports.
• Promptly report any client concerns or changes in their condition to the office.
• Respond swiftly and effectively in case of emergency situations.
• Attend monthly staff meetings to stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Complete required in-service training and ongoing education modules to meet state-mandated guidelines.

Are you a night owl with a heart for service? Join our team as an Overnight Care Professional providing attentive, non-medical care to elderly and disabled individuals in the comfort of their own homes - while the rest of the world sleeps.

At Dawson and Dawson, our overnight caregivers are the backbone of our 24-hour care model. You'll bring peace of mind to families knowing their loved ones are safe, comfortable, and well-cared for through every hour of the night.

Available Overnight Shifts

• Day Shift
• 7PM - 7AM
• 8PM - 8AM
• 11PM - 7/ 8AM

Shift differentials offered on a case-by-case basis. Base rate determined by experience.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• INDIVIDUAL MUST LIVE IN OR NEAR HILTON HEAD ISLAND
• Genuine availability and reliability for shifts - this role requires you to be alert and engaged throughout the entire shift
• CNA or previous care giving experience preferred
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and responsive during nighttime hours and in emergency situations
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to providing excellent care
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to document and report overnight observations clearly
• Individual must be 100% Reliable and punctual.
• Desire to grow and advance within an agency.
