Haworth, Inc. is seeking a Hilo/Forklift Driver for 2nd shift with weekend hours in Holland, MI. You will operate powered industrial trucks to support manufacturing, load/unload trailers, and ensure accurate order fulfillment.

We value candidates with forklift experience, ability to use warehouse systems, strong attention to detail, and good depth perception. Overtime opportunities exist.

Qualifications

• 8th grade education or higher.
• Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation.
• Right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck certification.
• Ability to lift/move products weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate PIT while following Haworth safety standards.
• Access production and warehousing systems to reference and print pick lists.
• Verify order data and locations; fix input or scan errors as needed.
• Pick, deliver and stage product to correct locations.
• Unload and load trailers; ensure correct product sequencing.
• Inspect packaging and labeling; verify data.
• Consolidate orders for shipping and relocate skids as needed.
• Perform daily PIT inspections and basic battery maintenance.

Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Hilo/Forklift Driver to join our team on 2nd shift & the weekend shift in Holland, MI.

As a Hilo/Forklift Driver, you will:

• Provide material handling support to manufacturing workstations utilizing powered industrial trucks (PIT). May load and unload product to and from trailers.

Required Qualifications

• 8th grade education or higher
• The ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance
• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck (hilo) certification
• Ability to lift/move products weighing up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior hilo/forklift experience
• Ability to utilize appropriate electronic production system/warehouse system to complete job duties, as well as current technology tools, e.g. personal computer (PC), tablet, keyboard, mouse, RF gun
• Strong attention to detail
• Good visual and depth perception

Essential Functions

• Operates PIT, strictly adhering to Haworth safety standards.
• Accesses electronic production and warehousing systems to reference and/or print pick lists. Verifies order data, including part specs, counts, location, and delivery schedule. Backtracks pick process to verify or fix input or scan errors.
• Operates PIT to pick, deliver and stage correct product to correct location.
• Unloads and may load product to and from trailers. During loading process, ensures correct product is in correct sequence, following instructions to expedite off-loading process.
• Inspects packaging and verifies labeling data.
• Consolidates orders for shipping, systematically and physically.
• May wrap, band, label and relocate skids.
• Investigates and documents production nonconformance issues.
• Completes daily inspection PIT checklist, and performs routine battery maintenance. May change propane tanks.
• Rotates through department work centers based on business need.
• Works overtime as needed.
• Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
