Job summary

L&T Technology Services seeks a Testing Engineer to advance hardware-in-the-loop validation for power electronics. The role emphasizes hands-on HIL testing of converters, inverters, and UPS systems, using MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, and OPAL-RT in real-time environments.

You will design, implement and optimize HIL test setups, validate control algorithms, and collaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems teams to ensure robust, validated solutions for demanding electrical power applications.

Qualifications

• Hands-on HIL testing and validation of power converters and power electronic systems.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow for real-time models.
• Familiarity with OPAL-RT real-time HIL environments and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute HIL testing and validation for power converters, inverters, UPS systems, and other power electronics.
• Configure and maintain OPAL-RT real-time HIL test environments.
• Develop and validate real-time simulation models for power circuits and interfaces using MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow.
• Develop and validate power converter control algorithms and state-machine implementations.
• Design breakout/interface boards for integrating controllers with HIL platforms.
• Perform controller-to-HIL interfacing, signal mapping, and I/O configuration.
• Execute Design Verification Testing (DVT) per test plans and requirements.
• Support firmware validation and embedded controller testing within HIL environments.
