Hermeus in Atlanta seeks a Software Engineering 'Hardware in the Loop' intern to support setup, integration, and testing of real-time simulation environments connecting hardware components with software models.

Spring ~16 weeks (Jan–Apr) and Summer ~12 weeks (May–Aug). You will develop automated tests, maintain test infrastructure, and collaborate with Flight Software and other engineers to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, or C++.
• Experience developing scripts or automated tests.
• Familiarity with hardware integrations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• GPA 3.0 or above.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• Configure and troubleshoot HIL test benches and test infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for flight software.
• Expand test coverage and support regression testing.
• Maintain test stands: hardware config, software updates, calibration.
• Collaborate with Flight Software and engineering teams to improve reliability.
• Document test procedures, results, and changes to test infrastructure.
