Job summary

Waabi, a leader in Physical AI, is seeking a senior leader to own and scale the HIL program. You will architect tiered HIL benches, from unit-level to full-system integration, across multiple vehicle platforms and OEM programs, ensuring mature software reaches the hardware.

You will drive verification of critical requirements, manage fault-injection scenarios, and integrate HIL into CI and release pipelines, partnering with Embedded, Safety, Autonomy, V&V, and Infrastructure teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE/CE/CS or equivalent.
• 7+ years in HIL, embedded systems test, or V&V for safety-critical systems.
• Hands-on experience architecting/building custom HIL platforms and using OTS systems.
• Deep knowledge of automotive interfaces: CAN, Automotive Ethernet.
• Proficiency in Python and test automation; CI integration.
• Demonstrated technical leadership across hardware/software teams.
• Excellent technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Waabi's HIL program strategy, architecture, roadmap, and execution.
• Define tiered HIL architecture from bench to full-system integration across platforms.
• Verify electrical, timing, and fault-handling requirements on HIL benches.
• Own safety-critical fault injection scenarios in safe environments.
• Validate real-time constraints using hardware timing and measurement.
