YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a part-time Group Exercise Instructor to lead HIIT classes at Oak Square YMCA. The role reports to the Health and Wellness Director and requires current national Group Exercise certification (NCCA preferred).

Compensation is $30.00 - $40.00 per hour, with part-time scheduling and opportunities to develop healthy habits among members in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of group exercise experience.
• Must hold a current Group Exercise certification from a nationally certifying body (NCCA preferred).
• If teaching a specific format, current format certification required (e.g., Yoga, Spin, Body Pump).
• Experience in health and wellness programming and group instruction.
• Understanding of marketing and events for wellness programs.

Responsabilités

• Leads energizing, safe, and engaging group classes as directed to provide high quality experiences.
• Answers questions and supports participants in achieving health goals.
• Maintains knowledge of wellness trends through YUSA courses and external training.
• Builds authentic relationships with members and helps connect participants to the YMCA.
• Observes and adjusts classes to accommodate diverse abilities and needs.
• Celebrates participants' achievements and progress toward goals.
• Keeps accurate class attendance records using the Group Exercise Management software (MotionVibe).
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures and responds to emergencies.
• Resolves member issues professionally and in line with YMCA values.
