Zusammenfassung

YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a part-time Group Exercise Instructor at the Menino YMCA in Boston, MA. You will lead diverse group classes focused on safe, enjoyable wellness for all fitness levels, building community and guiding participants toward healthy habits.

The role requires a minimum of one year in group exercise, a current NCCA certification, and CPR/AED/First Aid. Prior fitness experience and marketing awareness are valued as you support program goals.

Qualifikationen

• At least one year of experience in Group Exercise setting.
• NCCA accredited certification (ACE, AFFA, NASM, NSCA, ISSA, etc.).
• If teaching a specific format, current certification required (e.g., Yoga, Spin, Body Pump, Body Combat).
• Experience in health and wellness programming and group instruction.
• Understanding of internal and external marketing and events.

Aufgaben

• Leads energizing, safe, and engaging group classes as directed by supervisor.
• Answers questions from participants to support health and well-being goals.
• Maintains wellness knowledge through YUSA courses and external training.
• Builds authentic relationships with members and the YMCA.
• Adjusts approach to accommodate all participants’ capabilities and health needs.
• Celebrates participant achievements in skills and health goals.
• Keeps accurate class attendance in MotionVibe.
• Follows YMCA policies and responds to emergencies.
• Resolves member issues professionally per YMCA values.
