Job summary

PEC is seeking an experienced Highway Project Manager to lead transportation design and delivery for roadway projects from concept through construction. The role focuses on managing scope, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction within a consulting environment.

The candidate should lead teams, develop proposals and budgets, identify risks, and ensure quality control while coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from ABET Accredited University required.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience as a discipline/task lead required.
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Project Management or related experience/field.
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Engineering Design.

Responsibilities

• Make all business decisions on projects from opportunity identification through project completion with minimal guidance or oversight.
• Resolve discrepancies between client expectations and contracted scope.
• Manage project scope, cost, and schedule for planning, execution, and delivery of projects on-time and within budget.
• Lead project teams throughout pre-contract phase and develop proposals and when needed, establish project budgets.
• Assemble the project team with the approval of each project team member’s supervisor.
• Provide direction to project team to keep them on schedule.
• Update project timeline and provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
• Identify risks and communicate risk management strategies with clients and teams.
• Lead forecasting estimates to complete and assess work progress.
