Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) seeks two Highway Maintenance Worker 2 in the North Central Region (Othello and Moses Lake, WA) to maintain state highways and structures, operate heavy equipment, and support safety on roadways. Positions may require nights, weekends, and holidays with a 40-hour week.

Minimum CDL Class B with N endorsement; ability to obtain Class A with N if needed. Base salaries range from $52,872 to $71,136 depending on level, with additional compensation

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with N endorsement and current medical card required.
• Ability to obtain Class A CDL with N endorsement within 12 months; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate highway equipment for maintenance and repair.
• Perform roadway maintenance: asphalt/concrete, drainage, sign and guardrail work.
• Maintain vegetation and remove highway debris.
• Respond to emergencies, perform night and weekend shifts as needed.
• Follow safety policies and participate in PASP and MSDS interpretation.
