Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a Night Shift Highway Maintenance Technician for CTRMA projects in the Austin, Texas area.

You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, including debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, and concrete work, while adhering to state and local regulations and company policies. The role requires a valid driver’s license, 0–2 years in construction labor, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.

Qualifications

• Must pass criminal background check and maintain safe working standards.

Responsibilities

Night Shift Highway Maintenance Technician- CTRMA

Position Summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform maintenance operations in the Austin, Texas area, specifically on CTRMA. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Required Experience:

• Drivers License required
• 0-2 years of construction labor experience (commercial, industrial, residential, roadway, heavy civil, warehouse, etc.)

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in guardrail installation and repair
• Roadway or tollway maintenance experience
• Concrete placement, and repairs Concrete form work,
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, ForkLift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
• MOT Certifications (traffic control)
• CDL A License a plus

Clean driving record is essential

Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:

Full time; Day shift is Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00p.
Night shift is Sunday-Thursday
All shifts may havesome night and weekend work if needed. Must be able to work during snow and ice events.
Will be placed on on-call schedule.

Day shift starting rate of $18.50/hr with no prior highway maintenance experience. Guardrail Experience starting rate of $19.50/hr
Night shift starting rate of $19.50/hr
CDL Drivers rate of $26.00+/hr
