Job summary

The Town of Ferrisburgh is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Ferrisburgh Highway Department as a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician 1 or 2.

The role involves maintaining approximately 80 miles of Town roads, including grading, ditching, road rebuilding, mowing, tree cutting, and winter plowing.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with Class B CDL or higher.
• Heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Winter road maintenance experience preferred.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the Town Garage.
• 40-hour work week with four 10-hour days (6:00 AM–4:00 PM), Fridays off.
• Overtime required during winter months.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.
• Ability to maintain vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain approximately 80 miles of Town roads.
• Perform grading, ditching, road rebuilding, mowing, tree cutting.
• Winter plowing and other seasonal maintenance.

NOW HIRING – HIGHWAY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN 1 OR 2

The Town of Ferrisburgh is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Ferrisburgh Highway Department as a full-time Highway Maintenance Technician 1 or 2.

The Highway Department is responsible for maintaining approximately 80 miles of Town roads, including grading, ditching, road rebuilding, mowing, tree cutting, and winter plowing.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with Class B CDL or higher
• Heavy equipment experience preferred
• Winter road maintenance experience preferred
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the Town Garage
• 40-hour work week, four 10-hour days (6:00 AM–4:00 PM), Fridays off
• Required overtime during the winter months
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Compensation
