Position Summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Highway Maintenance/Herbicide Technician to perform highway maintenance in Huntsville, TX. Responsibilities include highway cleanup and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.

Requirements:

• Clean driving record
• Must pass criminal background check
• Valid Texas Driver's License
• Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish

Preferred Experience:

• Roadway maintenance
• Herbicide application
• MOT Certifications (traffic control)
• Operation of wheel loaders, skid steers, forklifts, asphalt rollers, etc.
• Concrete forming and repair
• CDL A License (a plus)

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Knowledge of local driving rules
• Basic arithmetic skills
• Ability to operate safety equipment and hand/power tools
• Adaptability to new technology and work schedules
• Ability to work safely in various environmental conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds

Schedule and Compensation

Full-time, M-F 7:30 am - 4 pm, with flexibility for special projects and weather events, including snow and ice removal. Starting pay is $16.50/hour.
