Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician to perform routine highway and roadway maintenance tasks across the region. The ideal candidate will train in maintenance procedures and operate equipment under supervision, ensuring safety and quality on each job site.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 18+ years old, a valid driver's license with clean driving history, and the ability to lift and work in varied weather.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
