Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to conduct a variety of Highway Maintenance Services, as well as other related tasks under close supervision. We are seeking a qualified applicant that will train in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance.

The position offers a challenging work environment with competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off. Pay rate is $16.00/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods.
• Accurate eye–hand coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing work plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers.
