The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) in Drummond is recruiting a Highway Maintenance Technician to perform laborer, lead worker, equipment operator, and truck driver duties for highway maintenance tasks. The role includes culvert work, road repair, signage, and snow/ice control as part of a career ladder with advancement opportunities.
Applicants must hold a Montana CDL Class A Type II with tank endorsement and MEC; wage steps range by Technician I–III based on experience.
Formación
- Valid Montana CDL Class A Type II with no restrictions, tank endorsement and MEC.
- One year experience driving heavy trucks or operating construction equipment.
- Two to three years of documented road maintenance experience ready for advancement.
Responsabilidades
- Operate trucks and heavy equipment for highway maintenance.
- Perform culvert placement, crack/mastic sealing, guardrail or sign installation.
- Conduct snow and ice control and routine roadside maintenance.
