Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Passing grade on the written portion of the CDL exam required prior to hire date; tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions (Class B), and interstate status within 60 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains state highway systems, including filling joints, patching potholes, flagging and directing traffic, and setting up traffic control devices.
• Maintains and repairs state highway facilities, including signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters, and equipment.
• Operates vehicles to transport personnel and materials, plow snow, and spread ice control materials; uses tractors and various trucks.
• May repair bridge decks and drains, and perform sign installation and repairs as needed.
