MoDOT in Mountain Grove, MO seeks an entry‑level to senior maintenance worker to help maintain state highways and facilities under supervision. CAREER-LADDER openings offer progression without a separate interview and opportunities to learn new skills and advance.

Responsibilities include filling joints and potholes, traffic control, sign installation, equipment operation, and occasional bridge work. Applicants need a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver's license, and must pass CDL tests

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Must pass CDL written exam and driving test with tanker endorsement within 60 days after hire.
• Medical-physical examination required.

Responsabilités

• Maintains state highway systems, including filling roadway joints/cracks, patching potholes, flagging, directing traffic, setting up signs and traffic control devices, and handling materials and equipment.
• Maintains highway facilities: repairing signs/guardrails, cleaning curbs/gutters, painting buildings/equipment, servicing machinery.
• Operates vehicles to transport personnel, equipment, and materials; plows snow and spreads ice control materials; mows rights of way; operates auger, trencher, backhoe, forklift, and trucks.
• May repair bridge decks and drains, install signs, inspect signs, pour concrete footings, weld and maintain sign posts.
