Job summary

State of Missouri’s MoDOT Harrisonville location is seeking an entry-level to senior maintenance worker to support routine roadway and facility upkeep. Work is performed under direct supervision with opportunities for career ladder advancement.

You will perform pavement repairs, traffic control, sign installation, and equipment maintenance while ensuring safety around highway operations. This role requires physical stamina, outdoor work, and the ability to obtain a CDL endorsement and pass

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Must pass the CDL written exam within 60 days after hire; tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions, interstate status.
• Successful completion of a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highway systems, including joints, cracks, potholes, and traffic control devices.
• Maintain and repair state highway facilities, signs, guardrails, and equipment.
• Operate vehicles to transport personnel and materials; snow plowing and ice control.
• May repair bridge decks, drains, and perform work at height with ladders/scaffolding.
• Install signs and perform sign footing work and post repairs.
