The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WyDOT) is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team based in Meeteetse, Wyoming. This position plays a vital role in maintaining Wyoming’s highway system by performing routine and emergency maintenance activities that support a safe, high-quality, and efficient transportation network for the traveling public.

Meeteetse means "meeting place" in Shoshone. It offers a unique blend of small-town charm, rich history, and exceptional outdoor recreation. Meeteetse is an authentic historic town founded during the mining era, and is literally where Butch Cassidy signed a petition for a new bridge in 1886. The surrounding area provides year-round opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, including snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ATV riding, hiking, and camping. Fishing for cutthroat trout in the Greybull river makes for wonderful weekends as well.

In addition to a rewarding career serving the public, Wyoming is one of only nine states with no state income tax, offering an attractive lifestyle and financial benefit for employees and their families.
