Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance in Waco, Texas during day, mid, and night shifts. Responsibilities include highway maintenance, signs, guardrails, and drainage, adhering to all applicable regulations and company policies.

Required Experience:

1. Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, and various small hand tools
2. Familiarity with air compressor operations
3. Minimum 2 years of related experience
4. Valid Driver's License
5. Construction or roadway maintenance experience
6. Guardrail and sign installation experience
7. Concrete forming and repair experience
8. MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
9. Experience operating wheel loaders, skid steers, forklifts, asphalt rollers, etc.
10. Clean driving record, pass criminal background check

Preferred Experience:

1. Roadway maintenance experience
2. CDL license (a plus)
3. Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred but not required)

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic
• Maintain safety equipment
• Ability to adapt to new technology and use smartphones and applications
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions and lift up to 50 pounds
• Operate hand and power tools

Schedule: Full-time; day, mid, and night shifts available. Must be able to work during weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.
