Position Summary

We are seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians for the Grand Prairie, TX area to perform advanced maintenance operations during day, mid, and night shifts. This role involves tasks related to highway maintenance, signs, guardrails, and drainage. The position requires adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen company policies.

Required Experience

• Experience with shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, and various small hand tools
• Familiarity with air compressor operations
• Minimum of 2 years related experience
• Valid Driver's License
• Construction or roadway maintenance experience
• Guardrail and sign installation experience
• Concrete forming and repair experience
• Traffic control certifications/courses (MOT)
• Operator of wheel loaders, skid steers, forklifts, asphalt rollers, etc.

Preferred Experience

• Roadway maintenance experience
• CDL license (a plus)
• Bilingual in English/Spanish (read/write) (preferred but not required)

Clean driving record is essential. Must pass criminal background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to pass background checks (criminal, driving, drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Basic arithmetic skills
• Ability to use safety equipment and adapt to new technology
• Proficiency with smartphones and applications
• Flexibility to work rotating schedules and weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate hand/power tools

Schedule

Full-time position with day and night shifts available. Must be able to work rotating schedules and in various weather conditions such as snow, ice, and floods.
