Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician in Florida to perform routine roadway maintenance and associated tasks under close supervision. Training will cover highway/roadway upkeep and safety procedures in varying weather conditions.

The role requires at least 18 years old, a valid driver’s license with 3+ years of clean driving, ability to lift moderately heavy objects, and endurance for long shifts. We offer competitive pay and benefits as part of a family‑oriented team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with 3+ years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules due to workload or season.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks.
