Qualifikationen

• Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• 3-5 years of progressive work experience with knowledge at the level of a Highway Maintenance Specialist can substitute education.

Aufgaben

• Supervises highway maintenance operations and assigns daily activities.
• Schedules crew shifts and allocates labor and equipment for weather events.
• Identifies training needs and conducts/coaches training; handles hiring and development.
• Conducts performance appraisals and ensures access to required online training.
• Oversees upkeep, service, and scheduling of equipment repairs for the crew.
• Decides maintenance treatments and guides crew in unfamiliar methods.
• Manages materials, inventory, and communicates needs for high-dollar purchases.
• Records work orders, time cards, and material usage in agency systems.
• Monitors project budgets and progress and assesses road sections for repairs.
• Ensures safety compliance and conducts daily safety briefings with PPE checks.
• Maintains relationships with crew, landowners, and the public about maintenance plans.
